A note on what Tappla is — and isn't
Tappla is a native TV-app builder for free or already-paid content (sponsors, ads handled elsewhere, donations, public-funded). If you need a paywall, subscription, or membership gate on the TV apps themselves, you're looking for a video-OTT platform like Uscreen, VHX, or Vimeo OTT — not Tappla. Not sure? Email us with what you're building and we'll tell you honestly.

FAQ
Yes — full access during your trial. No credit card required and you can cancel any time. Submit your app to the App Store whenever you're ready.
For the Starter plan, yes — you need a paid Vimeo plan (Standard or higher) because Tappla connects to Vimeo's API. From the Professional plan onwards you can also use any CDN, custom URL, or JSON feed instead.
Yes, switch plans at any time from your dashboard. Upgrades are pro-rated for the current period.
No setup fees, ever. The monthly price is the price.
You do — Apple charges $99/year and Roku is free. Tappla submits the app through your own developer account so you own the listing.
Each separate brand needs its own Premium or Enterprise plan. Enterprise includes multi-brand management.
No — Tappla is built for free or already-paid content distribution. If your business model needs a paywall, subscription gate, or membership login on the TV apps themselves, you'll want a video-OTT platform like Uscreen, VHX, or Vimeo OTT. Many Tappla customers monetize separately (donations, sponsors, ad-supported videos hosted elsewhere) and use Tappla purely for distribution. Email us if you're not sure which fits.
Tappla doesn't insert ads into video playback. If you want pre-roll, mid-roll, or banner ads in your TV apps, you'll need a different stack — Roku Direct Publisher used to support this (now sunset) and Vimeo OTT does. Tappla focuses on the app build + distribution layer, not the ad-tech layer.
Email us at support@tappla.com with your account email and the plan you want — we'll send you a direct payment link within one business day. (We're aware of a dashboard issue where the upgrade flow doesn't always render correctly; this is the fastest path until it's fixed.)
